I came across this restaurant simply by chance! I was waiting for my pictures to be developed at PD Photo and they recommended I grab a bite to eat next door because they were behind. The menu has a variety of sandwiches, wraps, paninis, pastas, salads, soups...I had eaten a late breakfast, so I opted on the Sophia salad, which came highly recommended by the owner's son who was working behind the counter. When it was brought me, I was in awe of the size and presentation of what seemed to be an ordinary salad. It was filled with mixed greens, chunks of grilled chicken, goat cheese, walnuts, and dried cranberries. To my surprise, ALL dressings are conveniently served on the side, for those who are calorie conscious. The owner's son also suggested that if I didn't want the Blue Cheese dressing it was served with, that a freshly made balsamic vinaigrette would compliment it just as well, if not better....BOY WAS HE RIGHT! If that wasn't bad enough, he insisted on trying desserts, since I was only having a salad...He recommended a chocolate oreo cupcake, that he just finished making...It's airy, and topped with a vanilla buttercreme and even more chocolate oreos on top...I'll probably be ordering that exact dessert as a cake (which apparently they will do) come my next child's birthday, though i'll have to get it the same day as the party, out of fear my husband will eat it! The total bill came out to $14.65, and I literally had enough salad to take home for another meal (I was more interested in the cupcake anyways)...I highly recommend it if you're on your way back from fitness edge, or even stopping at wal-greens to stop in for a quick bite....you won't be disappointed.
